Camping crafts are always popular with kids and I think a bit with grown ups too! As a family we love camping and if we can’t get out and about in our tent this year? Well we’re going to camp in our garden then. Either way it’s a great excuse to do some easy camping crafts and I think this campfire craft for kids has to be one of the simplest that we’ve shared so far, making it suitable for younger kids too….
Summer Crafts for Kids
Making (and playing with!) frozen flowers is probably one of our most popular sensory play ideas ever and it’s easy to see why – they just look so pretty! I’m a great believer that if you want kids to do something then you have to make it interesting and inviting for them and these frozen flowers are so pretty that I’m always quite tempted to have a play with them myself. Actually I enjoy getting this activity prepped in advance too which isn’t something that I’ll say about everything! While it does involve advance preparation it really only takes a few minutes as you’ll be able to see in the video I’ve made and it can keep your kids busy for ages. What’s more it’s something that my kids have returned to year after year, my daughter was a toddler the first time we made this but fast forward to now a few years later and it’s still an activity that both kids enjoy….
I’m a great believer that you can never have too many pretty things and this easy flower craft is the perfect way to brighten up the place! Although it looks easy (and it is, hurray!) there’s actually loads of opportunities for learning with this craft too.
Plus this flower craft for kids is a great one for using up scrap bits of paper and card so if you’ve got a stack of stuff waiting to be recycled or sat in the back of your craft drawer then grab it now and let’s get making.
