Today has been yet another rainy kind of day so I thought it would be a good idea to drag the kids away from the tv and do a bit of crafting. I love paper plate crafts as they’re so cheap and easy to do – you can normally get a pack of paper plates for a pound meaning that it doesn’t matter if things don’t go exactly to plan. We’ve been taking a lot of walks in the wood recently watching the season start to change so I thought it would be fun to make some woodland animals, this here is our paper plate badger and you can also check out our paper plate fox!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Paper Plate Craft
Today was one of those days. The car was in the garage. I was ill. There was only so much Paw Patrol that any of us could handle. What to do? I suggested to my son that we made something and like any child of a crafts blogger he was determined and enthusiastic in his response. No. Then I suggested that we made some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Cue running to the dinning room to get the paints out…
Rocking Paper Plate Crab
As we live near the seaside we love making sea crafts for kids, they’re a great way to remember fun had at the beach when you can’t be there yourself! My one and four year olds made these fun paper plate crabs so they make great crafts for toddlers and are not only cute but a great way to help with fine motor skills.
Paper Plate Hulk Mask
This Hulk mask is super easy and fun to make and as it’s made from a paper plate that makes it super thrifty too! My four year old son made this last week while my daughter was painting her paper plate sun. Thankfully I tend to find that superhero crafts tend to take less intervention with my son as there’s nothing like wanting to get your superhero quite right to make you concentrate! This would also make a great playdate or party activity as you could cut out any of the bits needed in advance and then keep the kids nice and busy at the table!
Paper Plate Sun + Sun Crafts for Kids
We love sharing fun crafts for toddlers and this simple handprint paper plate sun craft is in fact the first craft that my daughter was involved in for this blog – even though she was only one she was determined to join in too!
This easy paper plate craft is simple to make, we’ve done it as a collaborative activity which would make it fun if you had a group of kids but it can easily be done with one child on their own making a really sweet keepsake.
