What You'll Find on This Page
Build a Rainbow Craft
This fun rainbow craft is great for making at home or in a classroom and is a great way to help teach kids the colors of the rainbow and the order that they go in too.
Personally I’m a big fan of cut and paste crafts because they’re a great way to help kids with their cutting skills while having fun and doing something creative at the same time. As a mom myself I know that neither of my kids have ever been keen on the more traditional worksheets to help with scissor skills.
This printable craft has three pages in the PDF file. The first page has the run, rain and clouds on it as well as a butterfly and bird.
The second page has all of the different stripes of the rainbow ready for you to color them and the third page is set out so that you can stick the rainbow colors on in order.
Want to make this craft a bit easier for younger kids? You could just color in the third page so there’s less to cut out.

Craft Materials Needed:
- Build a rainbow PDF
- Coloring pencils, colored markers or crayons
- White paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
Cut and Paste Rainbow
Start by printing out the three pages of the PDF file. As a reminder if you want to make this as a quicker craft you don’t need to print out the second page.

Color in the items on the first page. If you are making the cut and paste rainbow then color in the rainbow’s stripes on the second page or if you are doing the easier craft then color them in directly onto the rainbow on the third page.

Using your scissors cut out all the items on the first page and if you are cutting out the rainbow stripes then do this now too.

Glue the rainbow stripes onto the third page if applicable. I found it easier to do this if I spread my glue onto the printable rainbow shape rather than trying to glue each individual color of the rainbow shape.

Glue on the clouds, rain, sun and the sun’s rays and then finally don’t forget to stick your butterfly and bird onto the picture to finish it.
