How To Decorate Your Apple Template
We’ve made lots of apple craft over the years and lots of them would be perfect for making with this template. Of course we’ve also got a few ideas for different ways you could decorate it too so take a look and see what ideas would appeal to your and your child the most.
Colouring: This is always something that I suggest for our templates because the simple designs make them perfect to use as colouring sheets. Just grab pens, colouring pencils and paints and use these to decorate.
Apple Suncatchers: We made apple suncatchers previously by drawing the apples freehand but this template would make that a lot easier. Our suncatchers look great up in a window and for my daughter who was a preschooler at the time they were a great way for her to practice her scissor skills too.
Apple Stamping: I used this template for our apple painting craft using apple stamps.
Scrunched Tissue Paper: Cover your apple template with glue (PVA or Elmers glue style works best) then tear red and green tissue paper into pieces and scrunch them up into balls before gluing them onto your apple as we’ve done with our apple craft for toddlers.
Writing Activity: School age children could use this as a writing activity. Try writing some words to describe the apple on it or maybe eat some apple slices and write down what they taste like.

These paper plate apples are super easy to make and I love the way that the colours can blend together, just like on the real things.
This pom pom apple tree was decorated by my preschooler which might explain the amount of windfall apples! Its a great way to use up any pom poms and a good one for fine motor skills too.
