Win Tickets to Ghosthunters Halloween Icy Trail

Updated on 26th October 2015 by Kate Williams | 23 Comments

With Halloween getting closer my kids are now reaching peak levels of spooky excitement, every day I get asked how many days are left until Halloween! If your kids are excited about Halloween, or even if you’re just looking for another fun idea to fill the half term holiday then you will love the giveaway I’m sharing today as I have a family ticket to the Ghosthunters Halloween Icy Trail at The National Trust property Ham House in Richmond.

Ghosthunters

Based on the bestselling novel by Cornelia Funke, this heartwarming tale of an unusual friendship, built out of the need to defeat an ancient evil, Ghosthunters on Icy Trails, is available on DVD, VOD and Download.

When the often-fearful eleven-year-old Tom discovers a slimy green ghost in his cellar called Hugo, he is understandably afraid. However, Tom soon realises that Hugo, who is an ASG (Averagely Spooky Ghost), is not only completely harmless but also desperately in need of his help. He has been banished from his haunted house by a dangerous AIG (Ancient Ice Ghost) who has moved in and is spreading an arctic cold over the entire town in the middle of summer!

To help get rid of this AIG, Tom and Hugo enlist the services of a professional Ghosthunter, Hetty Cuminseed, who has just lost her job at the CGI (the Central Ghosthunting Institute). Hetty doesn‘t like children or ghosts very much but Tom and Hugo convince her to teach them the basics of ghosthunting. The three become an unlikely team – only with friendship, courage and self–confidence can they overcome their adversary and save the town from the AIG.

Ghosthunters is available now to buy on DVD and on Amazon Instant video. I think it would make a great film for some spooktastic family viewing this half term!

The Ghosthunters Icy Trail at Ham House

To celebrate the release of the film Altitude have partnered with the National Trust to launch the Ghosthunters Halloween Icy Trail. This exclusive activity will run for one week only across October half term at Ham House, Richmond from the 24th – 1st November. Featuring the regular Ham House spooks alongside Hugo, our ASG (Averagely Spooky Ghost) and the dangerous AIG – Ancient Ice Ghost.

The Ghosthunters Halloween Icy Trail will challenge families to locate the ghosts that are still lurking in the infamously haunted, 17th-century treasure trove that is Ham House, including our two new ghostly guests who have also taken up residence somewhere in the grounds. At the completion of the Icy trail after discovering the hidden ghosts, children will receive their own Ghosthunters badge and will have the chance to win themed prizes and merchandise. Find out all about the Ghosthunters Icy Trail at Ham House here!
