Sometimes a challenge comes through at just the right time and for us there couldn’t have been a better time to be asked to make a bouquet out of baby clothes. My days with a newborn are pretty much a hazy sleep deprived memory at the moment but my kids are about to welcome cousins into the family for the first time – so exciting! I originally thought I’d be doing this craft on my own but when my four year old son saw what I was doing he wanted to be involved too, this really was a joint effort. This cute craft would be a great baby shower idea or is just a fun gift to make for a mum to be!
You will need:
Baby clothes – we used a Newborn Starter Kit from M&S, you can find it on their baby hub page.
Garden canes or similar
Green tape – we used electrical tape
How to Make a Bouquet Out of Baby Clothes:
Doing each flower one at a time, fold the clothing so that it makes a long strip.
Place the cane at one end and then roll it along so that your clothes make a roll / flower shape. My son really enjoyed helping with this bit!
Secure the flower into shape by wrapping a bit of green tape around the middle, then continue to wind the tape around the base of the flower and the cane so that it stays in place.
You’re all done! If you’d like to see what it looks like all wrapped up then do go and check out the baby bouquet how to here, however my son was adamant that his Auntie would want them as they were and who am I to argue with a four year old! I know that I really would have appreciated these when I was expecting my kids and I love that this is such a simple craft that it can be done by kids or adults.

Wow! This looks so easy….I’ve paid a fortune for an online version of these and was disspointed with the size and quality of clothes for the price paid. next time I have a special little bundle to welcome, I’ll definitely be giving the home version a go 🙂
