We love creating Halloween crafts and this build a mummy craft is the perfect addition to our collection.
It’s free for you to download, only requires basic craft materials that you probably already own and is really low-prep.
You can print as many copies as you like too meaning that it’s great as a classroom activity as well as for getting creative at home.
As part of our two page printable you’ll find loads of bandages to cut out and stick on your mummy as well as an Egyptian coffin for your mummy to escape from when the craft is finished!
Craft Supplies Needed
- Build a Halloween mummy printable
- White paper or cardstock
- Printer
- Scissors
- Glue
- Colored pencils, markers or crayons
- Optional: torn paper or paper tape
How To Make Your Cut and Paste Halloween Mummy Craft
Print both pages of the Halloween mummy PDF file onto white paper or cardstock. I’ve used normal white printer paper as it’s easier to cut but if you want something a bit more sturdy then go for cardstock instead.
Color in the head and body of the mummy and the two parts of the coffin.
Cut out all the Halloween mummy and coffin pieces from both pages of the printable.
Glue the paper bandages over the mummy’s head and body in a criss-cross pattern and then cut any excess.
Glue the mummy’s head onto their body and then stick on the eyes and mouth.
Glue your mummy so that it is sticking out between the two parts of the coffin as if it is escaping!
How To Adapt This Halloween Mummy Craft
Instead of using the paper bandages we’ve supplied you could wrap micropore or paper tape around your mummy or glue on strips of torn paper.
Rather than using the mummy’s head on our printable you could use a photograph of your face and turn yourself into a Halloween mummy.
Glue on googly eyes instead of paper ones for a fun 3D effect.

Instructions
