What You'll Find on This Page
Free Printable Winter Wreath Craft for Kids
I’m going to be honest and say that winter is way too cold to be my favourite season so for me December, January and February are all about finding the things that I do enjoy about winter, celebrating them and making the most of the colder months.
Our wreath crafts are perfect for making in December but for me they work especially well as a January or February craft when all the Christmas decorations have gone down and you need something new to do.
You can decide which colors you’d like to use on your wreath, what character you’d like to add and then you can display it at home.
If you’re looking for a classroom winter craft the basic supplies needed for this activity mean that it’s a great option and you can use it as an easy way to include discussions about the seasons while you make it. Plus the finished craft is ideal to display in classrooms as part of bulletin board displays.

What’s Included in the Winter Wreath Printable
The PDF file contains two pages for you to print, both in a black and white design that’s easy to print and ready for you to color.
The first page has our wreath outline and has an image showing you what the completed craft will look like. You’ll also find a couple of facts about wreaths on it.
The second page has all the decorations on it and you’ll find start shapes, snowflakes and hearts to color in. There’s also three winter characters to choose from to decorate your wreath – a bear, a penguin and a snowman.

How to Make This Winter Wreath
Start by printing both pages of the PDF file onto white paper or card. I’ve used normal white printer paper to make mine so you absolutely can use this but if you want your wreath to be a little less flimsy then I would recommend printing the wreath outline onto cardstock instead.

Color in all of the parts of the craft that you will be using including the wreath itself, winter character, snowflakes, stars and hearts.
In a rush? If you don’t want to spend as much time coloring in you can print your wreath directly onto colored cardstock or paper and of course you can leave your snowflakes white.

Using scissors carefully cut out the wreath shape and all of the decorations that you’ll be using. You’ll find a dotted line around each item to help you.

Glue all of the decorations and your winter character onto your wreath. Feeling extra? You can glue all three on if you want!
If you would like to hang your winter wreath up you can make a loop with some yarn or ribbon and tape it to the back of your wreath or make a large loop that goes through the middle of your wreath.
