Fire Truck Template

As a mom I know that if I’m out in a car there’s three things I’m always going to point out if we pass them – tractors, cows and fire engines. I’m not sure why but that just seems to be the rule in our home, there’s something about them that’s always so interesting!

Our printable PDF comes with three different designs for you to choose from. The first is a basic outline of a fire engine, the second is designed to look like an American fire truck while the third is designed as the fire engines that you see in the UK.

Just pick the one that you’d like when you get to your printer settings.

These vehicle templates would be brilliant for a preschool or classroom display too, once you’ve finished decorating them just cut them out with scissors and they’d make a fun scene on a bulletin board.

Fire Engine Craft Ideas

Coloring

Coloring is a great low-prep activity to do with kids and these printables make fantastic fire truck coloring sheets. Just print them out, grab your crayons, coloring pencils or markers and you’re ready to get started.

Add Some Flames

Glue torn up tissue paper or construction paper in red, orange and yellow onto your page to make some quick DIY flames.

Pom Pom Painting

We love using pom poms as a fun alternative to painting with a paint brush. Pop some red paint into a dish and then dip a pom pom into it before using it to dab onto your fire truck to color it in.

Your child’s fingers might well get messy with this one so if they don’t like the feeling of paint use a clothes peg to hold onto the pom pom instead.

More Free Vehicle Templates

Looking for more free templates? We’ve got tons with topics from each of the seasons, to holidays and celebrations to of course vehicles!

These are just a few of my favourites and with each one you’ll find some easy craft ideas too.

This ambulance template is the perfect partner to our fire engine template and also comes with American and UK designs as well as a basic outline.

Our airplane template has two different designs and would be great for using as a writing prompt too, where would you visit?

Learning about community helpers? Make sure you grab our police car template too.
