Build A School Bus Craft
This easy school bus craft is perfect for the first day of school or anytime you’re looking at transportation.
It would also make a great activity if you are looking at the environment with your kids, after all school buses mean that less people have to use cars to drive their kids to school.
The PDF for this craft has three different options for the school bus’s windows, so you can leave them blank, add our pictures of kids or draw in your own pictures of children travelling on the school bus.
You could even cut out photos of people from your class and cut them to size so that they fit into the window shapes for a cute and very individual craft!
You also have the option of three different designs for the bus driver, including drawing in your own.
If you like this school bus craft but the scissor skills required means that it’s a little too old for your kids then why not check out our school bus template. It’s free to download as well, has three different designs and is perfect for easy crafts or coloring.
Craft Supplies Needed
- White paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloring pencils, colored markers or crayons
Cut Out School Bus
Start by printing both pages on to white printer paper. If you do have thicker paper or cardstock available then that’s a great choice as it can make your finished craft a bit more durable but for the purposes of this craft normal paper is absolutely fine.
Next color in all the separate parts of the craft. You only need to color in the windows that you’ll be using or of course on the blank windows you can add your own drawings.
Using your scissors carefully cut out all the separate parts on the first page following the dotted lines around each item.
Again you don’t need to cut out any windows or the driver windows that you are not using.
Add a little bit of glue to the back of each cut out piece and glue them onto your school bus picture where indicated with the wheel insides being stick onto the school bus’s tyres.
