Printable Ocean Craft
I love ocean crafts because they’re perfect for any time of the year and there’s so many different things that you can explore in it depending on your child’s interests.
It’s a great topic to look at in the summer when you’re thinking of all things beach related but it’s also a good one for Earth Day or learning about our planet.
Plus many ocean animals are super popular with kids – who doesn’t like whales or dolphins?!
You can use our printable template to design your own ocean scene and create a fantastic craft while practicing coloring and scissors skills.
It’s a cheap craft to make as you probably already have all the supplies you need already so it’s great for making at home if you don’t want to spend a fortune on craft kits but likewise it’s a fantastic choice for classroom use too as you can print out as many copies of the PDF file as you like.
Craft Supplies Needed:
- Ocean scene PDF
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloring pencils, colored markers or crayons
Cut Out Ocean Craft
Start by printing out both pages of the PDF file, for this craft normal white printer paper is absolutely fine.
Next color in the background scene and your sea creatures, seaweed and se shells. If you’re in a bit of a rush for time then you could leave the background page as black and white but if you do have the time to color it in I think it will look much nicer.
Next cut out your ocean creatures and decorations from the first page using your scissors to follow the dotted lines.
Finally grab a glue stick and glue these onto your ocean scene. I would recommend doing the larger items first such as the whale and octopus to make sure that you have room for them but obviously this is up to you.
