Like most parents I love getting my kids outdoors and into nature. My children have really enjoyed our camping trips over the years and one of their favorite parts is building a campfire.
Ok, their favorite part of that might be toasting marshmallows or making smores but who can blame them!
This easy campfire craft is a great addition to any camping topics or outdoor themes that you’re looking at and as you can print as many copies of this download as you like it’s perfect for classroom use.
Likewise it’s great for making at home too and getting your kids excited about spending more time outside during the warmer months.
Craft Supplies
- Campfire craft PDF
- White paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloring materials: colored markers, crayons or coloring pencils
Build A Campfire Craft
Start by printing the PDF out onto white paper. If you like you can use cardstock for this craft to make it a bit more durable but generally normal white printer paper is absolutely fine.
Color in all the parts of the campfire printable. Reds, yellow and orange are all great for the flames and you can decide if you would like a pink or white marshmallow.
Using your scissors cut out all of the parts of this craft following the dotted line around each item.
Glue the smaller flame onto the larger one where the gray area is and then stick one log onto the top of the other and then glue both of them onto the bottom of the flames.
Glue the kindling onto the bottom of the logs and then stick the stones around the base of the logs and kindling.
Finally glue your marshmallow onto the stick and then glue them both so that your marshmallow is in the flames, ready to get toasted.
