Camel Creek Cornwall

ADVERT (gifted). Last weekend we were asked if we would like to review Camel Creek which is in Wadebridge, Cornwall. It’s actually not that far from where we live so it’s a place that we’ve visited quite a few times over the years but not being able to visit over the last year we were keen to see how it had changed and what is was like for my kids now they’re that little bit older.

Rides at Camel Creek

When my kids were younger they used to love the Swampy and Dina Land area which is aimed at younger children but as they’ve got older they’ve understandably wanted to try out other rides more.

At ten years old my son was tall enough to try out the Air Bender rollercoaster which he loved. My daughter (7) was just too small but was happy to sit that one out after discovering there was a Pringles vending machine next to the ride.

All of the other rides they went on together and they loved the Vertigo ride as well as Morgawr and Wave Rider.

Vegetarian and Vegan Food at Camel Creek

In our family both kids are vegetarian and myself and my husband are vegan. I often find that the neat and dairy free options on days out can be a bit limiting (or non-existent) but at Camel Creek we were pleasantly surprised!

We ordered food from Creeky’s Playhouse which we ate outside the building and there was a separate vegetarian, vegan and gluten free section to the menu which had quite a few options. My husband and I had the barbeque jackfruit burrito while both kids went for the vegan nuggets which my son said were the best he’s tried so far.

Tips for Visiting Camel Creek

1. Parking for Camel Creek is straight outside the entrance so if you’re carrying a picnic or jackets in case the weather changes it’s easy enough to just leave them in the car and pop out and grab them when you need them.
2. You can get soaked in the Water Wars area so if you think your kids will want to play in that you might want to take a change of clothes.
3. While we ate from one of the cafes on site we also saw quite a few people eating picnics and there are tables available for this if you’d rather bring your own food.
