Supplies needed for Spring Bingo

Print out a bingo card for each person playing and print out the bingo calling cards for the bingo caller. The bingo callers cards will need to be cut up to separate each one. I would recommend using colored ink to print these as you’ll want to see the pictures properly and of course it makes it a bit more cheerful too.

A bowl or hat to place the calling cards in.

Each person playing will also need some bingo markers.

What can I use as bingo markers?

Pens and markers are normally the most traditional choice for bingo markers but you can use other small objects if you wish, obviously just be mindful that some of these can be a choking risk with younger children.

  • Bingo dabbers

How to play Spring Bingo

The caller puts all of their individual calling cards into a hat or a bowl (so they can’t be seen) and then takes out one card at a time calling out what the card is. You may also want to show the image to make sure that everyone knows what has been chosen.

If you have the same image on your bingo card then you mark it off.

The first person with five images in a row (vertically, horizontally or diagonally) is the winner.

How can I play with more people?

If you are playing this game in a classroom or at a party then you might have more than ten people playing this game.

If this is the case all you need to do is team up with two or three players in each team sharing a bingo card.

If you prefer, you could also make more copies of each card, duplicating them, but this will mean that you have more than one winner. Go with whichever option you prefer!

When we played your Spring Bingo I introduced descriptive adjectives by first showing the cards to the kids and explaining how we can listen and see how words tell us more about a picture. A hanging plant vs a potted plant. Is it just a bird or is it a blue or red bird? Thanks for such a wonderful activity!!

Do you have more then 10 cards for spring bingo?
We have a group of 10-15 people with disabilities that we do monthly picture bingo with, so we’d need a few more cards.
