American Flag Craft Materials

White paper or card

Blue card

White and red paint

Scissors

Gluestick

Lego or Duplo

Plate

Let’s Make It!

Start by cutting out a blue rectangle of card and sticking it onto your white paper or card using a glue stick (this normally sticks faster than other glues so is better if you want to get straight on with your craft!)

Pour some red and white paint on to plates and then create the red stripes using one lego block and your red paint, using a plate means that it’s easier to dip your lego in. I’ve used Duplo as it’s easier for little hands to hold and makes nice big circles but go with whichever one you have around the house.

When all the stripes are complete you can make your ‘stars’ using another lego or duplo brick dipped in the white paint. Want proper star shapes? You could draw them or use some star shaped stickers.

Like this craft? Make sure you pin an image so you don’t forget to make it! Want more ideas for the 4th of July? Check out the inspiration at the bottom of this page.
