I’ve been meaning to share some easy Christmas crafts for preschoolers for some time now and I’m so glad to finally be able to publish this round up as there’s so many great ideas in it including paper plate crafts, saltdough keepsakes and easy Santa crafts.

I love this cute little snowy owl craft and my kids did too – my daughter had to make one as soon as she saw it! Snowy owls are great for winter or arctic animal crafts, plus this craft is great for fine motor skills too making it an all round winner.

With the cold weather starting to settle in I thought it would be good to share something a little seasonal to keep the kids occupied if you don’t fancy braving the outdoor weather. The arctic has got to be as cold as it gets and these arctic animal crafts for kids are all super cute! Arctic animals include reindeers, polar bears, arctic foxes, walruses, seals, mooses, orcas, and snowy owls – the last one being my daughter’s current animal of choice. Hopefully there’ll be some in here that you kids will love too.

We’ve shared a lot of crafts for toddlers over the years and these stained glass Christmas lanterns were one that my daughter really enjoyed making although of course you could make this with older kids too. We’ve made these as a simple Christmas craft but you could easily change the colours up and use them as a winter craft or for celebrating the winter solstice or Diwali. It’s a great craft for fine motor skills too and one that makes a lovely kid made decoration to have around the house!

With Christmas on the horizon I thought it would be nice to share a little round up of nativity and advent activities for toddlers. Advent activities are those which are about waiting and preparing for the nativity and as these are activities for toddlers they’re all suitable for one and two year olds to learn about the story behind the celebrations. Of course you’ll find that some of these activities are suitable for older kids too but I’ve tried to find those that are suitable for little hands so that everyone can enjoy this special time of year no matter how old they are!
