Shark Craft

Updated on 11th July 2025 by Kate Williams | Leave a Comment

Make this fun and easy shark craft using cotton buds to make a cool painted dot effect.

Perfect as a shark week activity, as part of an ocean theme (or, eeek, maybe a beach one?) or just because sharks are awesome.

You can draw the shark yourself but why not make this easier to prepare and use our free shark template.

All you’ll need is paper, access to a printer and a few simple materials that most of us have already at home.

Mothers Day Printable Flower Craft (FREE PDF)

29th April 2024 by Kate Williams | Leave a Comment

This free Mothers Day printable flower craft is going to be loved by moms and kids are going to love making it too!

Everyone knows that the best gifts to receive aren’t those that cost a lot but those that are made with love and this free printable template means that you can make a super sweet flower to give this Mother’s Day or you can use it to make a cute DIY card.

On this printable you’ll find five options for the centre of the flower so that you can choose the option that’s perfect for you.

Mothers Day Printable Flower Craft Free

Mothers Day Printable Flower Craft

As a mom myself I know that some of the nicest things I’ve ever received are those that my kids have made.

When I was a kid I remember that my mom had a draw filled with the cards and gifts I’d made her over the years and now I do exactly the same thing with cards I’ve received from my children, they really are the sweetest keepsakes.

This Mothers Day craft is free to download and kids can color their own flower before cutting the pieces out and gluing them together.

You can print as many copies as you like so it’s great for classroom use too.

On the printable you’ll find five options for the centre of the flower so you can choose the one that’s perfect for your family.

Having spent many years when I struggled to buy cards for my step-mom I know how important it is that everyone is able to send and receive cards.

There are four hearts each with a message, ‘Mom’, ‘To…. Love From….’, ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ and ‘I love you’. There’s also a plain circle that you can use, just choose your favorite option when you color your printable in.

Craft Supplies

  • Mothers Day Flower Craft PDF
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Coloring materials – crayons, colored pencils or colored markers
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Optional – colored cardstock

Mothers Day Card Tutorial

Start by printing the PDF file out onto white paper. If you are planning on making this craft as part of a card then normal white printer paper is perfect but if you want to have it just as the flower itself then you might be better opting for printing onto white cardstock to make it a bit more sturdy.

Color in all the parts of the craft. You will only need to color in one heart shape or circle for the centre of the flower so pick your favorite.

If you are using the ‘To… Love From’ heart for the middle of your flower then don’t forget to grab a black marker pen and write who the flower is to and from.

Grab your scissors and carefully cut out all of the separate parts of the craft following the dotted lines on the printable.

Glue your flower’s stem onto the back of the flower pot and glue the leaves onto the back of the stem.

Next make the main part of the flower. Turn over the circle or heart shape that you are using for the centre of the flower and glue each of the six petals around it.

Stick your flower to the top of the stem and then you can glue your bee onto one of the petals if you would like.

If at any point you are worried about how the craft should look you’ll find a little illustration of the finished craft in the top corner of the printable so you can always refer to that.

Finally if you are making this as a Mother’s Day card grab some colored cardstock or construction paper and fold it in half and glue your flower to the front of it.

Don’t forget to write a message for mom inside the card too!

More Free Printable Mothers Day Cards

On this site there are loads of free printables that you can download so it’s no surprise that you can find lots of resources perfect for Mothers Day.

Because what kids can do and are interested in creating varies between different ages and between different children you’ll find card templates for preschoolers and toddlers as well as older kids in school. Just pick the one you think they’d enjoy making the most!

I love handprint crafts for younger kids and I think that they make the most gorgeous keepsakes.

These handprint mothers day cards have six flower pot themed designs so that your child’s handprint will make a beautiful flower, I think these would be great to turn into a gift by putting them in a photo frame.

These fingerprint Mothers Day cards are super cute too and there are six designs to choose from.

Finally this printable Mother’s Day card is a great option for kids and they can color in the design too.

This deign has to be one of my favorite Mothers Day crafts of ours as I love the fun 3D design and I think seeing the end result standing up is really cool!
