Beach Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger hunts are a great way to keep your kids entertained and they’re ones that I’ve used loads with my own kids too.
This beach scavenger hunt is perfect if you fancy a break from building sandcastles and playing in the waves.
You can use this printable all year round but obviously summer is the perfect time of year as lots of us will be taking trips to see the ocean and have fun playing in the sand. My kids have just been on a school trip to the beach too and this would be a fun activity to take along with a group of kids like this as well.
What Is A Scavenger Hunt?
Put simply, a scavenger hunt is a list of items that you need to find. You can do this as a group or as individuals.
Generally, if I’m doing a scavenger hunt with my own kids then I’ll print them a copy of it each so that they can both color in the items that they find but they’ll normally work together to find things.
Do what works best for you and your family though, it would be a fun beach game to work in teams to try and find all the items too. You could even have a prize afterwards – ice cream??

Do I Need To Find Everything On The List?
No, just see how many you can find! If you are doing this in teams then you could see who can find the most items or you can just use it as a way to encourage your kids to be a bit more mindful about noticing the things around them.
When I do scavenger hunts with my own kids I generally print them out a sheet each but they’ll generally look for all the items together.
