I like the tranquility of beaches, not a sun worshiper ( i.e. not one for sitting in the sun). Alderney is where my favourite beach is. I can recall how beautiful it looks. As well as remembering my Best pal and her husband there following their wedding. As the Wedding reception was in the nearby hotel. We had delicious seafoo and entertaining music. Wonderful memories.

I couldn’t choose one! The Northern and Western Isles have wonderful ones, then there are Australian beaches with their turquiose sea, and the glory of lakesides in the American West. Places like that are so good for the heart and mind.

I love Whitby’s big and little beaches. We usually go New Years’ Day and take the dog for a walk. Funny how there’s always loads of people about no matter what the weather. Also the one near Seahouses in Northumberland as you can go riding there (Slate Hall in Seahouses is a great stables) and have a good canter on the beach.
