Birthday Card Craft Template

Free Printable Birthday Card PDF Pack
There are lots of different designs for this birthday card with three main themes of a cake with a candle, a cake with a cherry and final theme with lots of sprinkles.
Candle Cupcake Design
The first design has normal sprinkles as well as a candle, the second design has star shaped sprinkles and the third design has been left plain.
Cherry Cupcake Design
There are four different designs of our cupcake birthday card with a cherry on top!
The first one has dot shaped sprinkles, the second design has small heart shapes, the third has larger heart shapes and the final design has been left blank.
Birthday Wishes
Our final set of designs has different greetings written in bubble writing that you can color in.
The first card says ‘happy birthday’ the second design is ‘birthday wishes’, the third has a cute face drawn onto the cupcake and says ‘you’re so sweet’, the fourth design says ‘happy birthday cupcake’ and the final design has been left blank.
Craft Supplies Needed
- 3D Birthday card PDF- one stand design and one cake design
- White cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloring materials: colored markers, crayons or coloring pencils
- Optional – marker pen or pencil for writing a message
3D Birthday Card
Start by choosing which design you would like to make. For each card you will need to print one cake stand design and one cake design (the part with the icing on it).
While you can use white printer paper for this craft if that’s what you have available, I would highly recommend using white cardstock instead if possible as it will make your card more sturdy and ensure that it can stand up when finished.
Once you have printed both parts of your card it’s time to color them in. You can use crayons, coloring pencils or colored markers for this, whichever you have available or prefer.
Next cut out the four separate parts using scissors and following the dotted lines around each part of the design.
Using glue, stick together the two parts of the cake case and the two parts of the cake, being care to ensure that they line up.
I often wait until this point to make the cut into each of the parts to ensure that they line up properly.
If you want to write a personal message on your card, now is the time to do so.
Finally slot the top part of the cake into the bottom part and spread the two parts out into an X shape so that it can stand up. You can always fold it back together again if you want to put it into an envelope.
