School Bus Template

Download our school bus craft template and you’ll find three different images ready for you to use.

The first is a basic school bus outline which is great for crafting and for younger kids with more space available to add your own decorations.

The second image contains more details to the wheels, side of the bus and doors as well as having the words ‘school bus’ written on the side and the third template has more details to the windows of the bus too.

School Bus Craft Ideas

Coloring

These printables make great school bus coloring sheets and it’s a great activity to have to hand if things are getting a little overwhelming in the lead up to starting school or at the beginning of the new school year.

Just print out your favorite template and give your kids some crayons, coloring pencils or colored markers or if you feel like painting grab the black and yellow paints.

Stickers

Design your own school bus by decorating it with stickers.

This is a great way for kids to easily create their own fun design with a topic that they like – you could go for the traditional spot or star stickers but a school theme with pencils and backpacks would work well too or you could really lean in to kids interests and go for cartoon characters, skateboards, ice creams, whatever works!

Stickers are also a great way to support your child’s fine motor skills too.

Photos

Why not personalise your school bus by adding some photos to the windows at the side of the bus?

You can print out school photos or ask parents to provide some and then cut the pictures to fit the windows before gluing them down.

You could be driving the bus or is you have a few photos available it would be fun to have the pictures of their new friends travelling in the bus too.

Tissue Paper

For a super easy school bus craft grab some tissue paper squares and glue them onto your template. This is a good activity for younger kids such as toddlers that you might not want using scissors but still allows them to have fun getting creative.

Collage

Use loose parts to decorate your school bus. How about using milk carton lids for the wheels and yellow construction paper, foam shapes and buttons for the main part of the bus?

If you are making a collage then I would recommend printing your template onto cardstock rather than paper as it holds the extra weight a little better, you don’t want to risk your art projects tearing!

I’d also recommend using double sided tape or school glue (PVA glue) rather than a glue stick as it tends to hold the items in place better.

More Free Transportation Templates

We have loads of free templates so whether you’re looking for something to keep your kids entertained or to fill up your bulletin board look no further.

First up is our free airplane template, there are two designs available and this would make a great writing prompt too.

I love this cute boat template that would be great for an ocean theme too.

Finally why not check out our printable helicopter template that also has a couple of different designs available in the PDF file.

Hi Heather, I’ve just tried to email you a copy of the template but the email has come back as being blocked so it sounds like it’s to do with your employers firewall? My best suggestion is to try with a different email address (if you have another email I’m happy to send it over to you!) x
