Free Printable My School Bag Cut and Paste Activity

I adore this sweet cut and paste activity and I think that it’s a really good way to help younger kids think about what belongs in a school bag.

Using our design you have the option of coloring and cutting out our school supplies, not only is this a fun way to practice coloring, scissor skills and fine motor skills, but if your child is starting school or preschool then it’s a good way to discuss with them what school is going to be like and what they will need to do to be ready in the mornings.

You don’t have to use all of our school supplies, instead you could use this activity to get your child to choose the ones that they need to pack and you could talk about the school supplies that they need every day and those that they might need occasionally or what they might need to pack for a school trip.

You can also use the my school bag printable page on its own as a drawing activity where instead of using our printable school supplies you could draw things that you need to take.

This might include things like a packed lunch or snack, a pencil case or clothes depending on the weather, that could mean sun cream or rain boots of your child has a lot of play outside or forest schooling.

If you’d like a more detailed version of this craft for older kids then make sure that you check out our backpack craft which has an interactive design where kids can build a backpack, decorate it and fill it with paper school supplies for imaginative play.
