Updated on 2nd February 2026 by Kate Williams | Leave a Comment

If you’re looking to make a Valentines card with your kids this year or just a cute craft then this printable is the one for you – our Valentines teddy craft has two different options so you can decide how to make it!

For a cute cut and paste craft you can make our Valentines teddy bear holding a balloon.

Looking for a Valentines card template? We love this option too as our bear holds a cute heart shaped card that you can open.

Valentines Teddy Craft

I love crafts that have more than one way to make them, if you’re at home with more than one kid or you’re making this in a classroom then it means that kids can choose the one that interests them the most.

As well as this resource having two different craft ideas for you to choose from there’s also three different messages that you can choose from to make it perfect for the person you want it to be for.

Choose from wishing someone a ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’, tell them ‘I Love You’ or let them know that they are ‘Beary Special’.

Craft Supplies Needed:

  • Valentines teddy craft PDF
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Coloring materials – crayons, coloring pencils or colored markers
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Start by printing out both pages of the PDF file. If you want to make a teddy holding a balloon then you are fine to use normal white printer paper for this craft but if you’d like to make this as a Valentines card then I’d recommend using white cardstock instead.

Color in all the parts of the teddy on the first page of the printable and all of the parts that you wish to use on the second page, for example you only need to color in the message that you’ll be using in your craft.

Using scissors carefully cut out all of the parts that you’ve  colored in following the dotted lines around them.

Start by building your basic teddy bear – glue your bear’s head onto the front of his body and the arms and legs on to the back.

Finish your bear’s face by sticking on the nose and inner ears and then glue their bow tie underneath their face.

Your next step depends on how you would like to make your bear craft. If you want to do the balloon option then cut out the string and the heart shape of your choice and glue these together before sticking it to your teddy’s hand so it looks like they are holding a balloon.

To make this into a Valentine’s card stick the inside message on the large heart marked ‘card back’ on the printable and stick your outside message onto the other large hart which has a tab on it (marked ‘card front’).

Place the two hearts together with the card front on top of the card back, then turn them over and fold the tab from the front card behind the back card and glue it down.

Turn the heart shapes back over and glue them onto the main body of your bear.

You can now open up the card and write who the card is to and from inside it.
