As a family we’ve camped a lot over the years, from trips abroad to nights in our backyard.
It’s something that my kids always really looked forward to and sleeping outdoors in a tent is a great way to connect with nature.
Plus if you ask my kids they’d probably tell you that it’s a great excuse to eat lots of toasted marshmallows too!

Craft Supplies Needed:
- Camping craft PDF
- White paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloring pencils, crayons or colored markers
Cut and Paste Camping Craft
Start by printing out both pages of the PDF file onto white printer paper and then coloring them in. You can use whatever coloring materials you like for this so whether you have crayons, coloring pencils or colored markers available go with whichever ones you prefer.
You can create your own design for your campsite flag and make sure that you color in the sky on the second page a dark blue or black color so that your stars and moon will really pop against it!
Cut out all of the different pieces from the first page of the printable.
There are certain pieces that you will need to include such as the tree stumps so that the children have something to sit on but if there are any bits that for any reason you don’t want to include then you don’t need to worry about cutting these out.
Dab a little bit of glue onto the back of each item and stick it onto the background scene.
You will need to stick down the tree stumps before you can place the children sitting on top of these and likewise you will need to have the children in place before you can add the guitar, marshmallow or hot cocoa for them to hold.
If you would like a guide for where to place each item then you can find a drawing showing our suggestions in the top of the printable but really you can place each item wherever you like to make your own camping scene.
