About Me
Hi, I’m Kate Williams, mum of two and the person behind Crafts on Sea.
As a parent I know exactly what it’s like trying to keep your kids entertained, away from screens, having fun and doing something creative without spending a fortune. I’ve definitely had my kids show me tutorials they want to do from Pinterest or TikTok that are just disappointment waiting to happen.
Crafts on Sea has crafts and activities for kids of all ages that are actually achievable to make. Plus you’ll find tons of free printables so that you can get creative with your child without breaking the bank.
I’m very lucky to have worked with some amazing artists over the years who help bring my ideas to life, particularly Gemma who does a lot of the artwork you’ll find.
I believe that kids crafts should be easy, achievable, use materials that you already own (or that you can get hold of easily) and most importantly fun.
I love to see activities from this site being used in preschools, classrooms and libraries as well as by moms, dads and grandparents. You people are all fantastic!
I live in Cornwall, England with my husband and our son and daughter who were born in the 2010’s.
About Crafts on Sea
Crafts on Sea has been featured in The Sunday Mirror, The Telegraph, Good Housekeeping, The Huffington Post and Craftseller Magazine with tutorials and some lovely stuff about this site.
I’ve attended Downing Street with Mumsnet and Railway Children to discuss the issues faced by young people running away from home.
Crafts on Sea was a finalist in the Brilliance in Blogging Awards in 2015 for the best craft blog and I’ve published a book of Halloween crafts for kids.
