Paper Plate Flowers

Use watercolors and resist art to make this gorgeous flower craft for kids.

Equipment

  • Pair of scissors
  • Watercolor Paints
  • White Crayon
  • Glue Stick
  • Paintbrush

Materials

  • 1 Paper Plate
  • Card Stock green

Instructions

  • Draw a flower shape in the center of a paper plate using your white crayon.

  • Paint the paper plate in your choice of watercolors.

  • While the paint is drying, make the stem for your flower. To do this, cut a long strip out of a full sheet of green cardstock. Cut out a couple simple leaf shapes too.
  • Glue the leaves to the stem and once the paint is dry, glue the stem to the back of the paper plate.

Notes

Make sure you draw each petal aa few times with your way crayon to ensure that it will show once your paint is dry.
Why not try making some flowers a little shorter and some a little longer. Soon you’ll have a full garden of beautiful watercolor flowers that will look fantastic for a display.
