Restore is a furniture restoration project which I supported the setting up of with with help from the support of many lovely people in the blogging community. Restore supports the work of The Storehouse, one of the busiest food banks in the country which has over 5,000 people on it’s books. In addition to the food bank, The Storehouse runs a community cafe and a number of projects including a parent and child group, support for people in abusive relationships, support for people with addictions, personal development courses, volunteering opportunities and support to find education or employment opportunities.
Restore trains volunteers to upcycle old furniture into gorgeous new pieces which would be welcome in any home. You can see what’s going on currently on restore’s Facebook page and you can also read a bit more about my involvement in this interview I did for Mammasaurus.
