Last February we bought our first house which means that this will be our first Christmas here. I love this house but it’s been quite a bit of work – it’s a Victorian building that hadn’t been touched for about fifty years which has meant that we’ve had to do everything, from sanding down the original wooden floors to removing the 1930’s style gas fires and replacing them with Victorian fireplaces instead. There is one slight issue with our home though, as much as I love it, and that is that it can get pretty cold. Being a listed property we can’t have double glazing and we do really notice that in the colder months so our house becomes filled with blankets and jumpers! I’m a great believer in dressing warmer before you turn the heating any higher and now thanks to Moccis we’re able to keep that bit warmer while also looking fabulous. What’s more I’ve got a pair of Moccis to giveaway to one lucky reader too so you can keep warm Scandinavian style this winter too!
Moccis are quality hand sewn moccasins that look great and feel great too. Ethically produced and inspired by Sweden, moccis are made of high quality luxury materials but their stay dry protection also means that your feet are kept warm and dry. They’re a favourite amongst A-List celebrities too with Victoria Beckham, Rita Ora, Sienna Miller and Claudia Schiffer all owning a pair.
Of course being well made is one thing but there are two other factors which really matter both to me and to my kids – do they look nice and do they work? I know that when you’re feeling a bit cold the look of something shouldn’t be the most important thing but actually? Sometimes it is, especially with kids – I know my children would rather freeze than wear something they’re not keen on as much as it frustrates me to admit that!
Thankfully Moccis look as good as they feel with gorgeous designs for kids and adults including cars, foxes, forget me nots and of course the counting stars design that my daughter and myself have. We’ve been loving doing a bit of twinning which has been a great way to encourage her to keep warm too!
As for the warmth, at first look I wasn’t sure that Moccis would be enough to keep our feet toasty but the non slip leather soles combined with the snuggley sock material has been enough to keep our feet warm during the cold days and evenings we’ve had recently. I’ve loved getting in from a freezing cold school run to pop my Moccis on and warm up again and for fans of all things Scandinavia it’s like wrapping your feet in a bit of hygge – all that’s needed is a book or hot chocolate and you’re all set to get through the winter!
To celebrate my partnership with Moccis I’ve got one pair of Moccis of the winners choice to giveaway! All you have to do is comment below to let me know which ones you’d like and fill out the rafflecopter widget to confirm you’ve done so, full terms and conditions are also on the widget.
