My youngest daughter is a fussy eater. I’ve told myself it’s just a stage, having been through the same with my son, but it still causes me some concerns sometimes (especially when we’re travelling and I don’t know what to feed her!) and so I try to make sure that I do my bit to keep her as healthy as I can. Starting school soon means a whole new world that I want to give her the best chance I can in so when Bassetts Vitamins asked me if I’d like to work with them and try out their new multivitamins I was certainly up for the challenge, the only issue was if she would be.
About Bassetts Vitamins
Bassetts Vitamins Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles have natural flavours and colours
and no added sugar but they have a really orangey flavour. Each vitamin contains B6 to support normal
psychological function and Vitamin B5 which contributes to mental performance to support a smart way
to start the day.
What We Thought
When I told my daughter we were going to be trying out the vitamins I honestly didn’t know how she’d
respond – she likes fruit and generally will eat multivitamins, but it's hit and miss on anything new. I was
really happy that she gave it a go ( Yay! High fives!) and she enjoyed the taste and has been happy to try
them again. I asked her to draw a picture of what it tasted like and we got all the orange pens and
crayons out, apparently they taste like orange jelly babies and umm… her toy monkey if he was made
out of oranges, so now you know!
With school on the horizon I want my kids to have the best chance they can to do well, whether that’s
starting work on phonics and reading or having the energy to play with their friends at break time. A
healthy balanced diet is something that all parents aim for but these are a great thing to keep as a back
up so you’re not panicking that you’ve managed to cover every vitamin every day*. I’ll certainly be giving
both my kids vitamins to help them throughout the year and it’s great to find one they like that has the
ingredients to help them during their new school year.
*Just a reminder that food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a healthy and balanced
