The very lovely Julie who writes Sum of Their Stories has asked if I will take part in The Blogland Tour which is a nice little meme doing the rounds at the moment. It feels like forever since I last did one of these so I thought it might be fun!
Ahem. I appear to have accidentally committed myself to about 6 posts this week which is way beyond my comfort zone. And possibly my ability. Thankfully The Toddler is at playgroup for a couple of mornings this week but I’ll basically be inhaling Nescafe for the next few days. I’ve also got a quick Halloween craft for adults I want to try and make this week. Oh there’s and a new blog launching this very day which I’m help curating and which I am very excited about. Quite a bit then!
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I have way more sleep deprivation and a hardcore ability to neck cheap wines that I feel other bloggers are missing out on.
3. Why do I write / create what I do?
I’ve pretty much always written. I’m awful at fiction as I have a short attention span so blogging is the perfect lengh for me. Due to the whole two small kids issue it tends to be loads of kids crafts and activities over here during the school holidays and then a bit more grown up focused if I manage to get a break. In a dream world I would be listening to folk music and doing quilting. In reality it’s cold tea and quick wins, I see no shame in that though.
4. How does your writing / creative process work?
Get idea, wonder when I’m going to do it, rush like a maniac to get it done and then schedule a whole lot of pinterest when the kids are in bed. If it’s stuff for the kids I’ll normally make it within a day or two, if it’s for me? Ahem, well I’m still working on something I started a year ago…
Some stuff what I think you should read…..
So I got totally paranoid about asking people to take part at this point so I’m going to break the chain and risk 15 years bad luck or whatever. Instead I’m going to recommend three blogs I’ve just started reading that I really, really recommend you take a look at:
Hugs Are Fun – I’m not at all ashamed to say that I am totally in loves forever with Rebecca’s site. Cool cross stitch pattens, fun tutorials and generally lovely stuff.
Tiny Rotten Peanuts – Crafts and family stuff from Jeanette who *gasp* writes about crafts and is a very funny lady. I have offered to stalk her, such is the level of my love which apparently is ok as long as I also share her stuff on Facebook…
That new thing what Annie from Manneskjur is doing – Yeah that new thing I’m helping out on? It should be launching about now. Go forth and see Annie and I’m sure she’ll give you the details.
What are you reading that I should know about?!?
