Welcome back to Tuesday Tutorials. This week I’ve started sewing again after a long absence and I’ve been loving it! We spent last weekend reviewing a cottage staycation (more on that later!) where I did some work on leather bag I’ve been making forever and when we got back I started a sewing project for my son (more on that later too!) Because I’m a bit thrifty though I hate throwing nice material away so I’m always trying to think of things to do with the scraps, after all that stuff is expensive! Thankfully Tuesday Tutorials came to my rescue via some of the posts linked up last week and inspired this round up of fantastic things to make with fabric scraps.

Miffy In The Garden Small World
We are all struck down with Man Flu this week, so today while my son was at Playgroup and my daughter was having a nap I thought I’d try and make a little craft to make them smile. We’ve been reading Miffy in The Garden and both my kids love to garden too (or in my youngest’s case, eat dirt). But with the weather today? No thanks. I thought this Miffy small world would give them the chance to ‘play gardening’ inside and hurray because they loved it!
Camping with a baby – 10 tips you need to know
Before I had kids I loved to go camping, although admittedly I didn’t do loads of it. The thought of camping with a baby though? Well it didn’t seem possible at first – how would we all cope?! I’ve always wanted to take my kids camping, I love getting them out in the countryside and I knew they would get a kick out of spending the night outdoors. Last summer my husband and I decided that enough was enough and it was time to introduce our three year old son to the joys of camping. There was only one small issue though, his still rather small baby sister. Could we cope with camping with a baby?! So, we did what seemed sensible at the time, bought a tent and decided to just give it a try before we spent another year putting things on hold.

Fun Indoor Gardening Activities
Are you enjoying the better spring weather? We certainly are! Both my kids have been having loads of fun playing outdoors and doing a bit of gardening. From the messages that were left on my post last week it looks like we’re not the only ones! Quite often after my kids have been enjoying something it’s still on their mind so inspired by that I thought that this week I’d showcase some indoor gardening activities for kids, not quite covering your house in compost but perfect for gardening inspired crafts that you can do in your home.
