Now I’m happy to admit that I am not a big party thrower (stress!) but when I saw these gorgeous posts I couldn’t help but thing what brilliant party food ideas they would be. I mean, just look at them…These Elderflower Wand Biscuits from In The Playroom look beautiful and would be perfect for a fairy or princess birthday party, I’m sure if I changed the colours a bit my son would love them too, wizards party?! Blue Bear Wood’s Lavender Madeleines are exactly the kind of food I wish I served up regularly, don’t they look beautiful! They’d look amazing at a tea party on some vintage china. Apparently all party food ideas should involve something savory too and I think these Lamb Fajitas from Capture by Lucy would be perfect, they look gorgeous and all the family can enjoy them.

Family Friendly Pan Fried Sea Bass Recipe with Balsamic Vinegar
Last weekend we were challenged by BritMums to try doing our shopping in Morrissons. The Toddler has become super picky in his food choices recently so when he declared that he liked fish I thought the obvious step from fish fingers was sea bass in balsamic vinegar. Ok, so maybe I skipped most of the balsamic bit for him but this pan fried sea bass recipe meant that we were able to have a family meal that everyone could enjoy and that had a bit of flavour for the grown ups, hurray!

Moroccan Lamb Meatballs
When the weather is cold I want to forget where I am. I dream of being in a warm place, somewhere where I don’t have two jumpers and a cardigan on. I want the food I eat to reflect that too. These Moroccan lamb meatballs do the job for me. What’s more they’re super easy to make and as I tend to pop them in the slow cooker for most of the day, I can relax, not panic about dinner and generally try and imagine that I’m in a souk or on a Moroccan beach and close my eyes to the weather outside.
